Public Health and Disease Prevention

The health, safety, and well-being of Irving ISD students and staff are our top priorities. By working together, we can promote public health through education and awareness, encourage good hygiene practices, monitor wellness, and follow established guidelines and protocols to support a safe and healthy learning environment for everyone.

Early detection plays a critical role in preventing the spread of illness. Irving ISD works closely with local health departments during times of increased health concern. School nurses and staff are essential in recognizing early signs of illness, and consistent adherence to health protocols is key to reducing the risk of outbreaks and protecting the school community.
