Annual Stop the Bleed Training

Irving ISD is committed to the safety and well‑being of every student and staff member. In accordance with Texas House Bill 496, the district has implemented safety measures designed to improve emergency preparedness across all campuses.

As part of this commitment, Irving ISD offers annual Stop the Bleed training for students in grades 7–12, their families. The training equips participants with the knowledge and skills to respond quickly and effectively in the event of a serious bleeding emergency until emergency responders arrive.

This training focuses on recognizing life‑threatening bleeding and taking immediate, appropriate action until emergency responders arrive.

By providing ongoing training and aligning with state safety requirements, Irving ISD continues to prioritize a safe learning environment and peace of mind for families. Partnering with parents and the community remains an essential part of keeping our schools prepared, responsive, and secure.
