Dallas County Promise is a last dollar scholarship that provides FREE tuition to Dallas College and several partner universities. Visit the Dallas County Promise website for important deadlines and details.
To become a Dallas County Promise scholar, students take four easy steps and meet all deadlines.
- Complete the Dallas County Promise PATH form. Beginning September 1st, visit DallasCountyPromise.org to start the process.
- Complete a Financial Aid application
- Apply to Dallas College or University Partners on the Apply Texas website or the Common App website.
- Enroll in Fall semester courses at the partner college or university of your choice.
Beginning February 2026, Dallas County Promise will expand to include students in grades nine through 11. This expansion allows students and families to begin exploring postsecondary options earlier and receive grade-appropriate information throughout high school.
