Instructional Materials
Instructional Materials (Textbooks) is a division of Learning Resources. The Irving ISD Instructional Materials Department is responsible for coordinating the purchase and distribution of instructional materials for all Irving schools. Our mission is to help support student achievement by providing campuses with instructional materials support.
During an adoption year we work closely with the Department of Curriculum and Instruction to coordinate the review, adoption, purchase and distribution of instructional resources for the District. We are responsible for training instructional materials custodians, monitoring inventories and lost textbooks, spot checks, audits, and financial end-of-year reconciliation of all campus accounts.
