Juan Carlos Martinez, Ph.D.
Deputy Superintendent of Human Resources
Dr. Juan Carlos Martinez has been in education for twenty-seven years, and for the last twenty-one, he has proudly served Irving Independent School District and its community.
Dr. Martinez earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. He holds two Masters’ Degrees in Bilingual/ESL Education and School Administration, respectively, from Texas A & M University-Commerce. He completed his Superintendent Certification through the University of North Texas in Denton and his Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Educational & Organizational Leadership at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Martinez’s research interests are focused on the areas of Organizational Change, Organizational Health, Transformational Leadership, and Theology. He is deeply committed and invested in implementing organizational health and transformational leadership practices, which he considers vital factors in attaining successful organizational and academic achievement in education
