Delayed Compliance Plan for Teacher Certification
Irving Independent School District’s House Bill 2 Delayed Compliance Plan outlines the District’s strategy to meet updated teacher certification requirements in accordance with guidance issued by the Texas Education Agency. The plan documents a defined timeline to full compliance by the 2029–2030 school year, annual strategies to reduce uncertified instructional assignments, supports to assist employees in earning certification, recruitment and pipeline initiatives, and the District’s Educator Preparation Program partnership. This plan has been approved by the Irving ISD Board of Trustees and is posted in accordance with TEA requirements.
