Parents and guardians are also encouraged to communicate with the campus librarian about special considerations regarding library materials that have been self-selected by their student. In accordance with state law and administrative procedures, parents or guardians may select alternative library materials for their student.

Library premium resources can be accessed by logging into the student’s Irving ISD Classlink account.

In compliance with state law, Irving ISD provides a public list of all library materials that are proposed to be procured by a school library to be accessible for a period of at least 30 days before final board approval.  All books are chosen by certified school librarians following the TSLAC Mandatory Collection Standards, EFB Local school board policy and the Irving ISD Library Book Selection Criteria that are aligned with both.
