All school and district operations will resume as normal tomorrow, Thursday, January 29. We look forward to welcoming students and staff back.

The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. Due to unsafe road conditions and extreme temperatures anticipated tomorrow morning, all Irving ISD classes, after school and UIL activities have been canceled for Wednesday, January 28. The Irving ISD Administration Building and all Irving ISD schools will remain closed as well.
We anticipate school and district operations resuming as normal on Thursday, January 29, and will inform you via School Messenger phone call, email and text if there are any changes to district operations the remainder of the week.

Irving ISD Closed - Tuesday, January 27, 2026
Due to unsafe road conditions and extremely low temperatures that will continue through the next few days, all Irving ISD classes, after school and UIL activities have been canceled for Tuesday, January 27. This decision was made with the overall safety of students and staff in mind, including students waiting at bus stops and staff who commute to and from work.
The Irving ISD Administration Building and all Irving ISD schools will also remain closed.
We anticipate school and district operations resuming as normal on Wednesday, January 28, and will inform you via School Messenger phone call, email and text if there are any changes to district operations the remainder of the week.

As a result of inclement weather conditions causing unsafe road conditions, all Irving ISD classes, after school and UIL activities have been canceled for Monday, January 26. The Irving ISD Administration Building and all Irving ISD schools will also remain closed.
Irving ISD will continue to monitor weather conditions and will share any additional updates regarding district operations as quickly as possible through SchoolMessenger (call, text, and email), the district’s social media platforms, IrvingISD.net and local news outlets.

WEATHER ALERTS
If inclement weather makes travel to and from campuses unsafe, Irving ISD may cancel or delay school. A School Messenger phone call, email and text stating cancellation or delays will be made as soon as possible to parents and staff.

BUNDLE UP AND STAY ALERT
Students should dress appropriately for the weather, including wearing shoes with a grip for icy or rainy road conditions. Please make sure your child can see and hear through clothing to stay alert for traffic.
BUS RIDER TIPS
- Stay 3 to 5 feet away as the bus approaches
- Allow time for the bus to make a complete stop before entering
- In case of inclement weather, be prepared for slight delays to bus route times
- Parents can call the Transportation Center at 972.600.5670 with any questions or concerns. A dispatcher will answer the phone.
