Are you ready to take the next step in your career and become a certified teacher? Grow with Irving is your opportunity to earn your bachelor’s degree and teaching certification — with tuition paid by Irving ISD!
Selected participants will:
- Complete an accelerated bachelor’s degree in Integrated Studies from Indiana Wesleyan University
- Earn their teaching certificate through Teachworthy
- Remain employed in Irving ISD while completing the program
- Be placed in an IISD classroom during coursework
- Commit to teaching in Irving ISD for at least three years after completion
Program Details
This program is designed for motivated, organized paraprofessionals who are ready to balance full-time work with college and certification requirements.
- A personalized degree plan will outline required courses based on your previous college credits
- IWU coursework is online, year-round, and delivered in 5-week sessions
- Irving ISD coursework occurs face-to-face and online, and will earn 27 hours of college credit
- Complete online certification modules through Teachworthy while continuing in your current IISD role
