Mission Statement
The Technology Services Division's mission is to provide reliable, leading-edge and integrated technology to support and facilitate teaching, learning, and the delivery of services.

Vision Statement
The Technology Services Division will be a recognized center of excellence in leveraging Information Technology (IT) to stimulate the exchange and creation of knowledge. Information will exist in an integrated environment that fosters an open, collaborative, and unifying culture.

Chief of Technology & Innovation

 

Devendra Shah
Chief of Technology and Innovation

Devendra Shah serves as Chief of Technology and Innovation for Irving ISD, bringing extensive experience delivering reliable, innovative technology services for large, diverse school communities. He has led districtwide initiatives in information security, instructional and classroom technology, cloud services, telecommunications modernization, business process automation and major bond-funded projects, with a focus on safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness.

With more than 15 years of leadership experience in K–12 public education, Shah is committed to providing secure, equitable digital learning environments that support students, educators and district operations through strong collaboration.

Previously, Shah served in Plano ISD beginning in 2009 in roles including Systems & Network Engineer, Assistant Director of Application Support Services and Director of Applications and Cybersecurity. He holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas and maintains Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) credentials.
