Henry Taylor, Principal
Mr. Taylor feels humbled and honored to serve as the new principal of Thomas Haley Elementary. He is committed to ensuring that every student reaches their fullest potential. Every Thomas Haley staff member strives to promote the academic, social and personal development of our Horned Frogs. Mr. Taylor looks forward to continuing his work with the students, parents, community members and the dedicated staff of the GREAT Thomas Haley Elementary School in his new role so that together we can cultivate diverse, resourceful, and competitive global citizens!
Mr. Taylor graduated from the University of New Orleans with a bachelor’s degree in Human Performance and Health Promotion and obtained his Master of Education in Educational Administration from Lamar University. He has worked in Education for 17 years and had the pleasure of working with the amazing Horned Frogs as assistant principal for the past three years. Prior to returning to Irving ISD, he served as an assistant principal in Dallas ISD.
Mr. Taylor looks forward to working hand and hand with every member of the Thomas Haley community. His vision for all Horned Frogs is to achieve greatness and DREAM BIG!!!
Faranak Delavari, Assistant Principal
Ms. Delavari is excited to work as the assistant principal at Thomas Haley. After earning her bachelor's degree in Chemistry, she worked at a lab for a couple of years. Wanting to work with students and make a difference in their lives, she began her teaching career at Barton Elementary where she taught second and fourth grade. While obtaining her master's degree in School Leadership and Administration, she later became a coach and an academic specialist at that same campus. She joined Thomas Haley during the 2014-2015 school year as a math interventionist and later became the math academic specialist and has had the privilege of working with the wonderful students, teachers, parents and community members for the past four years.
In her career as an educator, she has served in Irving ISD for fifteen years, working with all types of students - English Language Learners, Bilingual, Gifted and Talented, and Special Ed students. She looks forward to continuing to positively affect their success!
She feels fortunate to have the opportunity to continue her career at Thomas Haley Elementary as the assistant principal and is committed to promoting student learning, supporting the staff and students to reach their fullest potential, and serving the horned frogs’ community.
Amaris Bravo, Assistant Principal
Amaris Bravo. is from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her bachelor’s degree is in Pre-school and Elementary Education from the University of Puerto Rico. She moved to Texas in 2000.
She taught Kinder, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. She's been married to husband, Miguel, since 2002, and has two beautiful children Victoria and Ian.
Some of her favorite things include traveling the world, spending time with friends and family and touching the lives of children. She looks forward to a wonderful year of learning along with your child and hopes you are too!
