Henry Taylor, Principal
Mr. Taylor is thrilled to be returning as the principal of Thomas Haley Elementary. He is committed to ensuring that every student reaches their fullest potential and is proud to announce that Thomas Haley was a “B” rated campus last year! The staff members at Thomas Haley strive to promote the academic, social and personal development of all of our Horned Frogs. Mr. Taylor looks forward to continuing his work with the students, parents, community members and the dedicated staff of the GREAT Thomas Haley Elementary School as we continue to Dream BIG and reach for our goal of becoming an “A” rated campus.
Mr. Taylor graduated from the University of New Orleans with a bachelor’s degree in Human Performance and Health Promotion and obtained his Master of Education in Educational Administration from Lamar University. He has worked in Education for 18 years and had the pleasure of working with T.H.E. amazing Horned Frogs as assistant principal for three years before moving into his current role. He has also served as an assistant principal in Dallas ISD.
Mr. Taylor looks forward to working hand and hand with every member of the Thomas Haley community. His vision for all Horned Frogs is to achieve greatness and DREAM BIG!!!
Faranak Delavari, Assistant Principal
Ms. Delavari is honred to serve as the assistant principal at Thomas Haley. After earning her bachelor's degree in Chemistry, she worked at a lab for a couple of years. Wanting to work with students and make a difference in their lives, she began her teaching career at Barton Elementary where she taught second and fourth grade. While obtaining her master's degree in School Leadership and Administration, she later became a coach and an academic specialist at that same campus. She joined Thomas Haley during the 2014-2015 school year as a math interventionist and later became the math academic specialist. She has had the privilege of working with the wonderful students, teachers, parents and community members for the past four years.
In her career as an educator, she has served in Irving ISD for fifteen years, working with all types of students - English Language Learners, Bilingual, Gifted and Talented, and Special Ed students. She looks forward to continuing to positively affect their success!
She feels fortunate to have the opportunity to continue her career at Thomas Haley Elementary as the assistant principal and is committed to promoting student learning, supporting the staff and students to reach their fullest potential, and serving the horned frogs’ community.
Amaris Bravo, Assistant Principal
Amaris Bravo was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Pre-School and Elementary Education from The University of Puerto Rico, and her master’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. She's been married to husband, Miguel, since 2002, and has two beautiful children Victoria and Ian.
Mrs. Bravo moved to Texas in 2000, were she started teaching for Irving ISD. Mrs. Bravo taught at Good Elementary for 6 years, John Haley for 4 years, and Keyes Elementary for 1 year as an Academic Specialist.
In 2013, Mrs. Bravo started as an assistant principal at Good Elementary, and then moved in 2018 to Thomas Haley Elementary.
Mrs. Bravo is looking forward to another successful year serving the Thomas Haley family and community! Her vision for all Horned Frogs is to achieve greatness and DREAM BIG!
