Irving ISD Trustees Appoint Former Irving ISD Educator to Board Vacancy

Irving ISD Trustees appointed Pamela Campbell, a longtime Irving resident and former Irving ISD employee, to the District 3 vacancy in December 2018. She will fill the term until the May 2019 election

Campbell grew up in Irving and attended Irving schools, graduating from Irving High School in 1971. Her children spent their entire public education in Irving ISD as well.

She began her career in Irving ISD as a data processing clerk and counselor secretary at Houston Middle School. She also served as the school’s computer lab manager before transferring to Farine Elementary School as a Title I reading assistant. Campbell earned a bachelor’s degree from Dallas Baptist University and teaching certification in 2000. She then taught fourth and fifth grade at Farine, until her retirement in 2010. She has served as a guest educator for the district since then.

Campbell is a member of the Association of Texas Professional Educators, Texas Retired Teachers Association and Irving Cares.
