DECA Competitors Advance to State

The majority of Irving ISD teams who competed at the district meet last week qualified for state. From Nimitz, 13 out of 20 competitors advanced, 34 out of 40 MacArthur students qualified and 13 out of 24 individuals from Irving will be at state. In addition, at the district meet the Nimitz team was recognized for community service and membership campaigns.

Nimitz DECA is headed to state for the fourth year in a row. Also of note - this year the students who competed had never competed with DECA before. Qualifiers are as follows:
