Nimitz JROTC Lands Top 5 Finish at Nationals

Nimitz Navy JROTC shined bright at the 2019 National High School Drill Team Championships, held earlier this month in Daytona Beach, Fla. Nimitz teams ranked 5th in the nation in armed overall and 13th in unarmed overall.

Armed Overall - 5th in the Nation (All Services)

  • Armed Exhibition: 2nd
  • Armed Commander (Cadet Commander Kiron Searl): 4th   
  • Armed Inspection: 5th
  • Armed Regulation: 7th

Drill Team Commander: Kiron Searl, senior

1st Squad Leader: Ludwin Romero, junior

2nd Squad Leader: Alexander Gomez, sophomore

3rd Squad Leader: Miguel Buenrostro, senior
