Samuel Hernandez, Assistant Principal

Mr. Hernandez began his teaching career in 2013 in Dallas ISD as a high school science teacher at Moises E. Molina High School. He has worked in four educational capacities: teacher, dean of students, attendance administrator and assistant principal. Within these fields, he has had the opportunity to serve with parents, connect with students and improve the instructional capacity of teachers. He also served as curriculum and test writer for DISD before pursuing a leadership role in Irving ISD.

Mr. Hernandez is committed to building strong community ties and serving students to make them college, career and life ready. Mr. Hernandez holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Texas at Arlington and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University.

It is an honor for Mr. Hernandez to be part of Nimitz as an Assistant Principal. He has much to offer in the way of leadership, creating collaboration opportunities and establishing ongoing, open communication.
