On September 17, the Irving ISD Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of Dr. Jose Parra after more than four years as superintendent. His departure means Irving ISD is now in search of a new education leader - someone who will lead the district and continue to ensure students reach their maximum potential.

November 13-15: community meetings are held across the district
November 16: applications for internal applicants closes
The Board of Trustees will host three community meetings throughout Irving to give residents an opportunity to complete the input form (online or printed) and ask questions regarding the process. The meetings are open to the public, spanish interpretation will be available. The meeting dates are:
