Evaluations and LPDAS with Perform
For the 2017-2018 school year, Irving ISD is moving their teacher appriasal (PDAS) to the Perform platform hosted by TalentEd. Previously teachers were using Eduphoria for PDAS appraisals. Perform is a comprehensive performance evaluation system designed to handle all K-12 employee evaluations — from teachers to principals to support staff and beyond — while adapting to fit individual school, district or board processes and align with state and local requirements.

Have you ever needed an extension for someone not in your directory? Instead of calling around for someone’s extension, Irving ISD staff can use Microsoft Outlook’s Address Book. The following instructions will show you how view/access these numbers.

Windows 10 is coming!
The Technology Department has been busy planning the migration to Windows 10 for the 2017-2018 school year. There are many steps to a project of this scope. We are starting early to make sure there is plenty of time to complete the appropriate configuration and testing before making the transition.

Microsoft OneDrive
Microsoft OneDrive provides a place in the cloud where you can store, share, and sync your work files. OneDrive helps us collaborate and share Microsoft Office items easily and seamlessly. You will have 1 Terabyte or 1,024 Gigabytes of space on the Cloud in your OneDrive.

Office 365
Irving ISD is using Office 2016 with Office 365. This brings many benefits to teachers and staff in Irving. Office 365 is the Office you know, but works on the devices you use most (iphones, ipads, android phones, tablets, etc.) Beginning with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Office 365 provides all the familiar apps you've come to depend on, along with a dynamic set of cloud connected tools that help you communicate, collaborate and get more done.

Help with Polycom Telephones
Videos and help files have been posted for the Polycom 330, Polycom 550 and Polycom 650 VoIP telephones used by the Irving ISD. How to access voice mail or how to use "Hold", "Speed Dial", "Transfers", "Call Forwarding" and other features.

Irving ISD Named "Top Digital District" for Use of Cutting Edge Technology
Irving ISD was named a top digital school district by the Center for Digital Education (CDE). According to the CDE's press release, Irving ISD was selected for our use of innovative technologies such as the 1:1 laptop initiative, STEM curriculum and flipped classroom instruction.
