Adult Education and Literacy

  • The Irving ISD Adult Education Program is dedicated to increasing the literacy levels of community members and parents in an effort to help them gain access to better opportunities and support their child(ren)'s education. In Irving, 49% of the population speak a language other than English.

We are dedicated to the belief that parents are the primary role models for their children and that parent participation in advancing their own education is a strong influence on the educational success and life-long learning habits of their children. Irving ISD has a strong vested interest in supporting and expanding the adult education and literacy program in order to enhance our students’ academic growth.
