Give your child the opportunity to read, write and speak in two languages at one of Irving ISD's two-way dual language campuses.

Students begin the two-way dual language program by kindergarten and receive 50 percent of their instruction in English and 50 percent in Spanish.

Classes are comprised of native English speakers and native Spanish speakers.

• Dual Language 2nd - 5th Grade Framework

These schools participate in the dual language program. If your child's school is listed below, your child can enroll in the program, pending space availability.

If your child's school is not listed below, you will need to submit a transfer application to enroll your child in one of the participating schools. To learn about the transfer process, visit the Transfer website. 

Elementary Schools

• Brandenburg, Farine, Thomas Haley and TJ Lee 

Grades: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th

Secondary Schools

• Houston MS, Travis MS and MacArthur HS

• Students must be entering kindergarten or first grade in August.

Step 1

Contact Brandenburg, Farine, Lee, or Thomas Haley to be placed on the waitlist.

Step 2

The campus will notify you of your student's acceptance into the program and will provide an Acceptance Letter for you to sign and return.

Transfers

If your Dual Language school of choice is not your resident school, please submit an in-district transfer request beginning March 1 at IrvingISD.net/Transfers.
