    Chief of Technology and Innovation

    Alvin McQuarters started his career here in Irving ISD in September 2009 after spending 26 years in Corporate America. His corporate work experience includes both Global Fortune 500 companies (IBM and NEC) and very successful startups (e.g. Telecom Technologies, inc [aka TTI]).  Alvin held various management positions in Corporate America that range from Software Development Manager to Vice President of Product Development. He was on the executive team that led the acquisition of TTI by Sonus Networks (NASQAD:SONS) for more than $600 Million dollars. Prior to joining Irving ISD, Alvin was Vice President of Product Development for Prodea where he built an international development team (US, India, and China) of more than 110 engineers from scratch. He is the co-inventor of 15 registered patents in the field of Information Technology (IT).      
          
    Alvin is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where he holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering. He is also a graduate of Tougaloo College where he holds a Bachelor of Science in Math/Computer Science. Alvin received his Master of Science in Information Technology and Management from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a certified Agile Software Development Professional.
