Francisco Rico, Principal
Francisco Rico, who taught at Irving ISD’s Good Elementary School at the beginning of his 20-year career, will return to the school as its principal.
“I am deeply honored to have been named Principal of John R. Good,” says Rico. “I feel blessed for the opportunity to return to the school that I hold dear to my heart and where I worked for seven years. I'm looking forward to working alongside the staff and the community to continue to promote high levels of student learning.”
Rico began his career as a bilingual teacher at Keyes and Good Elementary Schools before being promoted to Bilingual Interventionist and later Academic Specialist at Gilbert Elementary School. Rico then served as an Elementary ELL Specialist for the district before returning to Gilbert Elementary as Assistant Principal.
He earned a master’s degree in Bilingual Education from Southern Methodist University and a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Letters from the University of Dallas.

Claudia Robles, Assistant Principal
Ms. Robles believes that education is the key to a better life. She also believes that every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world.
Ms. Robles is entering her twentieth year in education and is excited to be a part of the Good Family. Born, raised, and educated in Mexico where she earned her bachelor's degree in International Relations. She moved to Dallas in 2004 where she started her career as a bilingual teacher serving students in grades PK-5 and joined Irving ISD in 2017. Ms. Robles also earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Texas.
When she is not at school, Ms. Robles enjoys spending time with her family, reading, swimming, and learning to play piano.

Amber Poe, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Poe was born and raised in Tulsa, OK. Mrs. Poe began her educational career in 2005 as a self-contained 6th grade teacher at Sauk Elementary in Matteson, Il. In 2012, she joined Irving ISD where she served as a 5th grade ELAR teacher, Reading Interventionist, and an Academic Specialist. Most recently, Mrs. Poe served as an Assistant Principal at Townley Elementary School. Mrs. Poe is proud to have received her Bachelor’s degree at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Ok, and a Master’s degree in educational administration from Governor’s State University in Park Forest, Il.
Mrs. Poe is proud to be the Assistant Principal at Good Elementary. She truly loves spending time with her family, watching her daughter play soccer, playing dinosaurs with her son, and working out with her husband. When Mrs. Poe wants to treat herself, her favorite indulgence is shopping. Mrs. Poe looks forward to growing as a person and a leader in the educational field.
