  • Lamar Middle School competes in “Battle of the Tabs” for the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth!

Student Council of Lamar Middle School is helping the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth – one pop tab at a time. We are collecting aluminum tabs from soda cans to help generate needed funds to help provide a “home-away-from-home” for families of seriously ill or injured children receiving treatment at Cook Children’s, Harris Medical, and other Fort Worth-area hospitals. Donating or recycling pop tabs to RMHFW is one of the easiest ways to support these families.

Tab collections will continue from now until the end of December. This is a competition amongst Den classes.  We will determine a winner is by weight,  1 Pound = 1,000 Pop Tabs. Student Council will provide the winning class with a special prize!

  • Thanksgiving Lunch for Parent Volunteers

Rita Taylor the Parent Liaison at Lamar M.S. in Irving TX, and the wonderful parent volunteers went on a field trip to Cracker Barrell to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal. It was great! We are so excited about our next outing.  Lamar is thankful for the many hours these individuals pour into our campus.
