Congratulations to these students on being our Students of the Week! This group is halfway through our fourth six weeks and still shining! Crockett recognizes the way that these students exemplify the values we strive to instill in all our students. With the quickening pace of the school year we appreciate that our Students of the Week rise to their challenges and act as role models for their peers.

Beginning February 3rd, Crockett will be holding Saturday School sessions for 8th grade math and reading as well as 7th grade writing. 7th and 8th grade teachers will be inviting specific students to attend this five week series on the following dates: February 3rd, 10th, and 24th and March 3rd, and 24th. If your student is invited to attend, a letter will be sent home to be signed and returned. Breakfast and lunch will be provided during these half day sessions.
If your 6th or 7th grade student is interested in becoming a member of the Cougar Cheerleading Team next year, please plan on attending our information session for parents on February 22nd. Ms. Cleesen, our cheerleading sponsor, will present all important information from 6:00pm-7:00pm in the cafeteria about how your child can become a member of this energetic and amazing squad!
The Crockett Middle School Family would like to welcome Christina Arredondo to our campus! Ms. Arredondo's position as Student Advocate will allow her to work with our students through the counseling department. Please read through the Irving ISD Counseling Services announcement regarding Student Advocates in our schools which highlights Ms. Arredondo's extensive career working with students on their education goals. We look forward to Ms. Arredondo becoming a regular presence on our campus and influence on our students.
Parents please use the form linked above to complete the Parent Digital Citizenship class if you have not attended the previous classes offered on campus. ALL parents MUST complete the class as well as turn in paperwork and the technology fee in order to pick up student's iPad on October 6th.
First Student will manage and operate all Irving ISD student transportation services as part of a five-year contract beginning August 1, 2018. Dallas County Schools will continue to provide services to the district through the end of July. Irving ISD students and families can expect bus transportation to continue during the transition.
