  • Path to College and Careers

    Parents and guardians, looking to help their kids get to college can now get help from Irving ISD. The district is offering a program called “Path to College and Careers.” The eight-part virtual series will help parents prepare kids for graduation. There’s a 1 p.m. and a 6 p.m. session every Tuesday through March 30. For more information on how to register, click here.

  • MacArthur’s New Parent Portal

    In an effort to continue to bridge the connection between home and school, we want to provide information to support your child socially and academically. We have created a Parent Portal especially for you that will provide access to videos and resources, as well as, offer information that will further assist with your child’s academic success. We ask that you utilize these resources so that you may be informed and can assist your child in their success while at MacArthur.

  • On Tuesday, November 10th, MacArthur SOAR period will start. SOAR period is a time for students to receive intervention and enrichment during the school day twice a week. During the third six weeks, we will focus on EOC December testers and students that failed the first and/or second grading cycles. Please access the Cardinal SOAR information document to follow the instructions based on your status during the 6A SOAR period on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  • VILS DP

    High School Freshman Parents, Irving ISD 9th grade students and teachers were chosen to participate in the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools program. This means that your child’s Chromebook will soon be replaced with a new iPad with 30 GB of high speed data per month.  Students will also receive a keyboard and headphones to use with the iPad. Please join us for a 15 minute informational webinar to learn more about this pilot program and how you can help your child be successful and responsible in the use of technology.

    If you are taking the TSI, ACT, or SAT/PSAT join the Mac College Testing Google Classrooms. These offer overview sheets of the exams, links to videos, practice tests, and other helpful resources to get you ready for the test!
