  • Congratulations to Coach Starr & the JMS 7th Grade Football B Team

Beyond the Field: In pursuit of wholesome success, the Johnson Middle School seventh-grade B football team set – and accomplished – academic, community and athletic goals for this season. Through study groups, grade reporting, and voluntarily sacrificing practice time to attend tutoring, the team achieved a 100 percent passing rate. Athletes also logged more than 50 hours of community service at The Main Place. To cap their success, the team played in the championship game, demonstrating that excelling in athletics would not deter them from their obligations in the classroom and community.
