Shauna Villarreal, Principal
Ms. Villarreal is starting her 20th year in education and her 12th year with Irving ISD. She has held many roles while in Irving: classroom teacher, interventionist, special education teacher and academic specialist. She was also a teacher in Duncanville and Grand Prairie.
Ms. Villarreal holds a Bachelors Degree in Multi- Disciplinary Studies III and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision. She is also a mother of two. Her son is beginning his last year at Texas Tech and her daughter is a junior at Nimitz High School.
Ms. Villarreal is honored for the opportunity to continue to serve as the principal of Britain Elementary. She looks forward to continuing partnering with our staff and community to ensure all Mustangs are successful and reach their maximum potential.

Susan Duran, Assistant Principal
Susan Duran is from Dallas, TX and she’s passionate about education. Ms. Duran earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas in Arlington; her area of focus was Interdisciplinary studies, she also earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership at Lamar University. Ms. Duran began her educational career in DISD where she taught K, 2nd and 5th grade. She decided to pursue other areas in education and began working for Irving ISD in 2013 as a reading and math intervention specialist.
Ms. Duran is a very positive person and believes that anything is possible. Her positive demeanor will be contagious, her commitment to staff members and students will be seen, and her work ethic will be evident. She has a true heart and dedication to students therefore; she has high expectations for all students at Britain Elementary Elementary School.

Donmonique Mason, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Mason holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, and a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Texas at Austin. Mrs. Mason obtained her Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University.
Mrs. Mason began working for Irving ISD in 2002 as a Physical Education teacher and coach at Travis Middle School. After leaving the gym Mrs. Mason has served in a variety of roles including curriculum writer, Dean of Students, and Administrative Liaison.
Mrs. Mason aims to use her experiences to help students and educators reach their full potential through goal-setting, communication, instructional coaching, and the building of meaningful relationships with each other and the Britain community.
