Shauna Villarreal, Principal
Ms. Villarreal is starting her 19th year in education and her 11th year with Irving ISD. She has held many roles while in Irving: classroom teacher, interventionist, special education teacher and academic specialist. She was also a teacher in Duncanville and Grand Prairie. Her most recent role was assistant principal at Keyes Elementary.
Ms. Villarreal holds a Bachelors Degree in Multi- Disciplinary Studies III and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision. She is also a mother of two. Her son is beginning his fourth year at Texas Tech and her daughter is a sophomore at Nimitz High School.
Ms. Villarreal is honored for the opportunity to continue to serve as the principal of Britain Elementary. She looks forward to continuing partnering with our staff and community to ensure all Mustangs are successful and reach their maximum potential.

Reina Jaramillo, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Jaramillo is from El Paso, Texas/ Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. She graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso. This is her 9th year in Education; 8th year at Irving ISD. She was part of the LEAP Cohort 20-21 and was Teacher of the Year in 2018. She has a Master's Degree in Education Administration and is Bilingual Certified. Mrs. Jaramillo has taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 5th grade and was a Math Interventionist. She has worked on summer programs with Pre-K, 1st, and 4th as an interventionist. She is married to her high school sweetheart and they have two daughters and a dog. She loves to read, cook, craft, travel, and watch Netflix.
I am super excited about this school year and everything we will accomplish together for the Britain community.

Donmonique Mason, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Mason holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, and a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Texas at Austin. Mrs. Mason obtained her Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University.
Mrs. Mason began working for Irving ISD in 2002 as a Physical Education teacher and coach at Travis Middle School. After leaving the gym Mrs. Mason has served in a variety of roles including curriculum writer, Dean of Students, and Administrative Liaison.
Mrs. Mason aims to use her experiences to help students and educators reach their full potential through goal-setting, communication, instructional coaching, and the building of meaningful relationships with each other and the Britain community.
