I was born and raised in Lubbock, TX. where I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Spanish). I also hold a Master’s of Educational Administration from the University of North Texas.
After graduating from Texas Tech, I worked for Children’s Protective Services in the conservatorship caseworker for 7 years. In 2000, I moved to the DFW area and began my teaching career in Arlington ISD as a 3rd grade bilingual teacher at Crouch Elementary for 10 years and Bebensee Elementary for 2 years as a bilingual 3rd grade teacher. After 12 years teaching in grades 3rd – 6th (bilingual, dual language, ESL, multi-age) in Arlington, I moved to the Hurst-Euless-Bedford school district where I taught 6th grade bilingual/ESL for 2 years at Bellaire Elementary.
In 2016, I was appointed as the Assistant Principal at Bellaire Elementary where I served for 3 years. I then served as the Assistant Principal at Lakewood Elementary for 3 years.
In 2020, I joined Irving ISD as a 5th grade bilingual teacher at Johnston Elementary. After 1 year I was appointed as the Administrative Liaison at Lamar Middle School.
I have now joined the TJ Lions Fam-I-Lee as an Assistant Principal and am anxious and excited to partner with the staff, faculty and community to continue to have a positive impact on all of our students.
