The Clifton Early Childhood School Library opened in January 2000. Our opening collection was created and ordered by Kristi Betts and Renee Newry was hired as the first librarian for our school. Over the years our library has grown and evolved; for instance, the size of the library was increased during the summer of 2002. In 2005, Ms. Jenette Morgan came to Clifton to serve as the Librarian and Instructional Technology Specialist until the spring of 2016.  In the fall of 2017 Ms. Pamela Wright became the Librarian/ITS.  Mrs. Lilly Li is the library clerk for Clifton and has been our only library clerk since we opened.

We currently have over 8,000 items in our collection, including both ebooks and bound books.   Our books are selected by our librarian based on professional reviews and district selection criteria. The books are here for our students, parents, and teachers to check out. We are also able to request books from other Irving ISD schools through our interlibrary loan program.  Parents are invited to come to the library and sign up for a Family Library Card so that they may take advantage of all of our fabulous materials and services!  We look forward to seeing you soon in the library!
