Academic Decathlon

  • Described as the “premier scholastic competition in America,” the mission of Academic Decathlon is to develop and provide academic competitions to promote learning and academic excellence through teamwork among students of all achievement levels.  As colleges and universities are looking for students who have demonstrated advanced academic rigor, Academic Decathlon students are sought after by many prestigious universities.  It is a nationally recognized program that colleges respect and admire.

    What sets it apart?

Academic Decathlon is unique in that it is not limited to high-achieving students. It is designed to include students from all academic backgrounds. A team must consist of 3 “A” students, 3 “B” students and 3 “C” students. As “decathlon” implies, students prepare for ten academic areas of competition: math, science, economics, social science, language and literature, fine arts (music & art), speech, interview, essay and super quiz.
