About Board Meetings
The Board of Trustees holds regular meetings, which are open to the public, one or two times per month in the Board Room of the Administration Building, 2621 West Airport Freeway. Monthly Work Sessions are held at 5 p.m. and Board Meetings are held immediately following work sessions at 7 p.m.
In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Law, the Board has the privilege of meeting privately in executive session to discuss matters related to personnel, land acquisition, student hearings, and to consult with legal counsel. A majority of the board constitutes a quorum for the transaction of business.
When necessary, the board schedules other public meetings (special-called meetings, emergency meetings and work sessions) to conduct additional business and for in-depth study of programs and issues.
Advance notices of all meetings are posted at the Administration Building and posted online.

Addressing the Board

After completing the card, it can be given to any board member or district administrator so the individual can be recognized during the “Public Comment” section of the agenda.
Before addressing the Board, speakers should identify themselves by name, address and organization represented, if any, and remarks must be limited to three minutes. Public comments may not include charges against any employee or student of the District.
