    This leadership program gives Irving ISD employees a year of professional development, preparing them to become the next campus and district leaders.

    Employees interested in this opportunity will need to complete the LEAP Application, along with all required materials, by April 2022. To confirm employee eligibility, review the program criteria below: 

    • Articulated interest in becoming a dynamic leader within Irving ISD in one of the following capacities in the future, or interest in strengthening your skills while currently serving in one of the following capacities:
      • Classroom Teacher
      • Grade Level Chair
      • Department Chair
      • Interventionist
      • Academic Specialist
      • Administrative Liaison
      • Coach
      • Specialist
      • Manager
      • Coordinator
      • Director
      • Assistant Principal
      • Principal
    • Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional growth and self-reflection in current role
    • Evidence of leadership abilities as demonstrated in current or previous positions
    • Properly completed application including comprehensive answers to the application questions
    • Evidence of student achievement and growth
    • Minimum of two professional references, one of which must be the current supervisor/leader
