    Overview

Irving Independent School District is currently able to provide hotspots to students without reliable internet at home. Students that need internet to complete school work should apply at the campus to receive a hotspot (while available).

    Expectations

Mobile hotspot will be subject to all applicable state and federal laws and regulations and all applicable Irving Independent School District (IISD) policies, procedures, and guidelines (including, but not limited to, the Student Code of Conduct, Student Handbook, Technology Resources Policy, and Technology Agreement.) The use of IISD technology resources is not confidential and can be monitored at any time to ensure appropriate use.

Students must surrender the mobile hotspot to IISD if any of the following apply:

    1. Student is no longer enrolled in IISD.

    2. Student is found to have violated School Board policies, State or Federal law.

    3. IISD provides the student with notice that the mobile hotspot must be returned

Failure to return the mobile hotspot will result in a $100 device fee for replacement cost.

Student and parent agree to immediately notify school site personnel upon the occurrence of any loss to, damage to, or malfunctioning of any part of the mobile hotspot for any reason. If the hotspot is stolen outside of school, parent shall contact the applicable local law enforcement department and shall file a police report. Student and parent shall provide a copy of the police report to designated school site personnel.
