General Information

  • Tax Statements

    Tax statements are mailed in October either to the homeowner, the mortgage company or the tax agent. You have until January 31 to pay the taxes without penalty and interest. On February 1 any account still due will be charged penalty and interest. Penalty begins at 6% and increases monthly to a maximum of 12% in July. Interest accrues at 1% per month until the taxes are paid in full. On April 1, any business personal property account that remains unpaid will incur an additional collection fee of 20% of the total taxes, penalty and interest due. On July 1 any other account that remains unpaid will incur an additional collection fee of 20% of the total taxes, penalty and interest due.


    Appraisal Information 

    Dallas Central Appraisal District provides Irving ISD with values, owner names, mailing address and exemption information. If you have any questions concerning these matters you can contact them at 214-631-0910 or visit their website at www.dallascad.org.


    Tax Information

    In the state of Texas you pay property tax on any property you own to the school district, county & city the property is located. In Irving you should receive two tax statements to pay one from the Irving ISD and the other from Dallas County, the county collects for the City of Irving. If you are in a special district you may receive a bill from that district as well. 



    E-Statement requests are forever. Once the account is coded to receive an E-Statement, it will always be sent to the email address provided. If for some reason you no longer want to receive your statement through email or you sell your property please notify us to remove the request from the account. The link to the left will give you the instructions on how to sign up for E-Statements.


    The Tax office accepts postmarks by the U.S. Post Office. If it is the last day, we suggest you go inside the post office  and have them hand stamp your envelope to ensure the correct date. 


    Quarterly Payment Agreements

    If you have an Over 65 exemption, a disabled person's exemption or a disabled veteran's exemption on your homestead property, you are eligible to pay your taxes in 4 equal installments without penalty and interest, providing you make the payments by the due dates.
