Requests for the 2018-2019 school year will open February 1 for renewals and March 1 for all others.

Renewals: February 1-28
The period to renew an existing student transfer for the 2018-2019 school year is February 1-28. Parents received a link via email to request a renewal on February 1. If you did not receive an email, contact 972-600-5023. Notifications will be sent by May 15 (some exceptions apply).
Transfer students who are currently in transition grades (PreK, 5th, and 8th) will be considered new transfers for next year. Because they will not attend the same school next year, parents must submit a new transfer request in March - not a renewal.
New Transfers: March 1-April 2
The period to request a new transfer for the 2018-2019 school year is March 1-April 2. The online request form will be available beginning March 1. Notifications will be sent by May 15 (some exceptions apply).
Q: Can I submit a transfer request if I live outside of the district?
A: Only Irving ISD employees may apply for an out-of-district transfer.
Q: How long is a student transfer valid and is transportation provided?
A: Transfers are only valid for one school year and must be renewed yearly. Transportation is not provided for transfer students.
Q: My child is entering PreK next year. Can I submit a transfer request?
A: Yes, PreK parents should contact the school during registration for more information. Irving ISD employees enrolling in full-day PreK should submit a transfer request if they live outside the district -or- if they live in-district and would like to attend a school outside their attendance zone.
Q: Are transfers allowed for dual-language or Signature Studies programs?
A: Yes. Note, requests to enter a Kindergarten dual-language program will not be confirmed until August after registration.
